Hickey Releases Latest Report on Incentives, Expands Across North America
Hickey & Associates (Hickey), the global site selection and incentives advisory leader, released a new, expanded report on credits and incentives across North America. This latest edition, the North America Credits & Incentives Update – Spring 2022 Report, provides analysis and insights on the critical trends, legislative changes, policy shifts, and proposed regulations around the state and provinicial capitals and local communities. This is the first time the report expands beyond the U.S. borders.
Over the past two years, we’ve witnessed an economic situation that has seen incredible highs, while also reaching never imagined lows. We’ve stayed strong through multiple waves of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic that has brought new challenges to our lives, our jobs, and our overall view on the world.
The tools and resources available to our communities have reached unprecedented levels, mostly driven by federal stimulus efforts, directing billions of dollars towards pandemic relief and economic recovery efforts. These funds are being used in countless different ways, including directly for the deployment of critical infrastructure, job creation and retention efforts, and workforce development programs.
In our latest report, our experts will cover a number of these initiatives and investments. For the first time, we’re also going beyond the borders of the United States for a North American view, adding in key updates from Canada and Mexico. The following report isn’t meant to be an exhaustive catalog of all the programmatic and policy changes across the entire dynamic landscape of the continent, but instead as an assessment of the critical shifts and leading trends as we enter 2022 and consider the year ahead.
