We are currently seeking a Director, Credits & Incentives to join our team! The Hickey Team works virtually and in collaborative offices. We request that you’re able to thrive in both environments. The Director, Credits & Incentives will be a key member of a dynamic, global team providing comprehensive support for the identification, evaluation, securing, and compliance of credits and incentives. The role will lead project teams as the central point of contact in managing best-in-class procurement of credits and incentives across the United States, along with, non-US projects. This associate will need to be particularly proactive and creative in discovering solutions to ensure a successful outcome for their respective projects.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Urban Planning, Political Science, and/or Business preferred.

  • Additional education, accreditations, and a strong understanding of Corporate Real Estate are considered a plus.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business, government, and/or corporate real estate, dealing directly with economic development incentives, and/or other similar activities.

  • Background in basic business finance and economics including calculating net present value, taxation, depreciation, and equations based on supply and demand.

  • Flexibility to travel, approximately 25%.

  • Candidate must be legal to work in the United States.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of credits and incentives – statutory and discretionary – available in the United States; Global incentives experience considered a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead others.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team of professional individuals.
