Director, Location Strategy – US, Non-Location Specific

ROLE SUMMARY
You will be a key member of the firm’s Location Strategy Execution Team and work with the Global CEO and other Principals to set the strategic direction for our fast-growing, dynamic business. You will shape and lead a highly talented and top performing team of professionals in pre-designated markets reporting to you. It will be your responsibility to maintain the overall integrity of Hickey’s business through exemplifying and reinforcing our high ethical standards, and upholding the Hickey Pillars of Value, Integrity, Accountability and Entrepreneurism.
The candidate will provide industry-leading consultation services for existing and future clients regarding site selection, government incentives procurement, public-private partnerships, supply chain, labor analytics and location advisory. In addition, you will manage direct relationships with our partners and stakeholders nationally. This role will also be responsible for business development with the goal of continuing to grow the firm’s presence in key regional markets.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Cultivate and maintain trusting long-term relationships with new and existing clients
Identify prospects within the relevant market and use market knowledge to acquire new clients
Advise clients on location and site selection strategies
Responsible for the success of delivering Hickey’s products and services to clients
Assist in new business/product development and liaise with products and service specialists to best serve client needs
Build and manage a growing but dispersed team
Ensure compliance with government and regulatory requirements
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Degree in Business, Finance or relevant experience.
Minimum ten (10) years of proven Business Development activity, preferably in Real Estate or related field
Exposure to procuring government aid and incentives at federal, state and regional levels
Extensive project experience in the Washington D.C. region
Industrial real estate experience highly preferred
Seasoned professional in consulting, corporate and/or broker experience is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to network within multiple industries and sectors
Global perspective, forward-looking and entrepreneurial
A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
